Skadden, Milbank Say EEOC Request Is Resolved as Part of Deal With Trump

Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom and Milbank both say a request by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission that went out to 20 law firms seeking information about their diversity, equity and inclusion-related employment practices was “fully resolved” in conjunction with the firms’ pro bono deals with President Donald Trump, according to letters from the firm’s lawyer to state attorneys general offices.

Nearly a month after an EEOC-imposed deadline, more details are emerging on how some of the 20 law firms responded to the agency’s extensive data request. That includes settlements with some firms, ongoing talks, and 30-day extensions, which expire next week.
