Berkeley Law Taps Big Tech, Law Firms and ACLU to Design New AI LL.M. Program

Berkeley Law announced the launch of its AI-focused Master of Laws degree on August 13, which is now open for applications and will begin in summer 2025.

The school’s first ever AI-focused degree came together with assistance and consultation from an advisory group consisting of industry leaders. Members of the advisory group include Brian Israel, general counsel at Anthropic; Nikki Vo, director and associate general counsel at Meta; Nicole Ozer, technology and civil liberties director at the ACLU; Beth George, partner at Freshfields; and Miriam Kim, partner at Munger, Tolles & Olson; among others.
