The 15 Law Firms Behind the Delay in the Georgia Election Interference Case

The clients who convinced the Georgia Court of Appeals to order the 2020 election interference case be halted—possibly until early next year—are represented by 15 law firms that are mostly Georgia-based solo practitioners or small white-collar criminal defense boutiques.

The exception is Am Law 200 law firm Bradley Arant Boult Cummings, whose partner Bradley Arant partner Christopher Anulewicz in Atlanta signed the appellate brief, the only signature on the papers. In all, the 15 firms sought a pause in proceedings to allow the appellate court to decide whether a district attorney should remain on the case. The court granted the request last week and tentatively set a date for oral arguments for Oct. 4, though they are not required to hear oral arguments and may rule directly from briefs.
