President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Wednesday against Susman Godfrey, while indicating that “another five” firms are in the administration’s sights. Trump also said he wants to use law firms that have made deals for the administration for trade discussions.
The executive order against Susman Godfrey is similar to those facing other firms, including the suspension of security clearances, the elimination of any government contracts with the firm and limiting the firm’s access to government buildings and resources. Government contractors are also required to disclose their work with the firm, and Susman’s practices will be reviewed under Title VII to look for any racial bias.
