Rhode Island becomes the 36th state, and 40th jurisdiction, to announce plans to adopt the NextGen Uniform Bar Exam (NextGen UBE), the National Conference of Bar Examiners (NCBE) announced Wednesday.
The Supreme Court of Rhode Island ruled on May 7 to adopt the Rhode Island Supreme Court Board of Bar Examiners (Board)’s recommendation, saying the board “has engaged in an extensive study of the NextGen Uniform Bar Examination (NextGen),” adding that “this study culminated in the Board’s recommendation that the Court adopt NextGen beginning with the July 2028 bar examination administration.”
