A group of Democratic state attorneys general filed an amicus brief on Wednesday in support of Perkins Coie’s federal lawsuit that asks a Washington, D.C., federal court for a preliminary injunction to prevent President Donald Trump’s executive order that targets the firm for its work representing a former political opponent, and its policies promoting diversity, equity and inclusion.
The brief was led by the state of Washington, where Perkins Coie is headquartered, joined by 20 other AGs and the District of Columbia in support of Perkins Coie’s motion for a temporary restraining order to prevent the Trump Administration’s executive order from taking effect while litigation continues.
