Alma: In June, a legal AI startup focused on streamlining immigration procedures, Alma announced that it had raised $5.1 million, the company CEO and founder Aizada Marat announced in a LinkedIn post. Participating in funding round were Bling Capital, Forerunner, Village Global, NFX, Conviction, MVP Ventures, New Enterprise Associates (NEA) and Skillroad Innovation Hub. The startup looks to streamline the visa process for technologists, founders and researchers by providing personal legal advisors and speeding up document processing, according to reporting by TechCrunch.
