All eyes are on the largest law firms in America as a growing number stare down threats from the Trump administration, either preparing to litigate against the government if subjected to an executive order targeting their businesses or readying to negotiate a deal with the president to avoid being targeted in the first place.
Meanwhile law school students and early-career associates are keeping a close eye on which firms opt to fight the administration and which capitulate. Three firms have opted to sue the administration: Perkins Coie, Jenner & Block, and Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr.
