Analysts this month already pointed to the rise of artificial intelligence potentially reshaping the hierarchy of lawyers and business professionals. That follows a multiyear trend of nonbilling employees moving into and across firms from the business world to advance pricing and profitability analysis, or even enter the C-suite.
