California Attorney General Rob Bonta led a coalition of 17 attorneys general on Wednesday in filing a lawsuit against the Trump administration for withholding billions in congressionally approved funding for electric vehicle charging stations.
The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. Western District Court of Washington in Seattle, alleges the Federal Highway Administration and the Department of Transportation are illegally blocking the distribution of $5 billion allocated by Congress for a national electric vehicle charging network. California’s share of the funds is more than $300 million.
