\n\tBad Bunny has been sued by a woman who claims her voice is sampled on two hit songs from the Puerto Rican megastar without permission.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe lawsuit, filed on Monday (Jan. 5) in Puerto Rico, alleges that Tainaly Serrano Rivera can be heard speaking on both \u201cSolo de Mi,\u201d a 2018 song off Bad Bunny\u2019s debut album X 100pre<\/em>, as well as the track \u201cEoO\u201d from his latest No. 1 set, Deb\u00ed Tirar M\u00e1s Fotos<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe sample in question supposedly features Rivera saying in Spanish, \u201cMira, pu\u00f1eta, no me quiten el perreo<\/em>,\u201d which translates roughly in Puerto Rican slang to, \u201cListen, damn it, don\u2019t take away my vibe.\u201d Rivera says she recorded this phrase at the request of Bad Bunny\u2019s producing partner, La Paciencia, when they were in college together back in 2018.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAt the time of the request, the purpose of the audio was not explained, nor was the plaintiff informed that her identity would be used and commercially exploited,\u201d reads the lawsuit, originally filed in Spanish and translated by Billboard <\/em>using the service DeepL. \u201cNo compensation of any kind was discussed. No contract or agreement was signed, nor was any license or authorization granted.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tRivera is now suing for violations of Puerto Rico\u2019s right of publicity statute and seeking $16 million in damages from Bad Bunny (Benito Mart\u00ednez Ocasio), La Paciencia (Roberto Rosado) and the star\u2019s record label Rimas Entertainment.<\/p>\n

\n\tAccording to the lawsuit, Bad Bunny and his collaborators improperly used Rivera\u2019s voice not just in the commercial releases of \u201cSolo de Mi\u201d and \u201cEoO\u201d \u2014 which hit No. 93 and No. 24 on the Billboard Hot 100, respectively \u2014 but also in performances during his record-breaking San Juan residency last year.<\/p>\n

\n\tReps for Bad Bunny, La Paciencia and Rimas did not immediately return requests for comment on the lawsuit.<\/p>\n

\n\tRivera is represented in the case by attorneys Jose Marxuach Fagot<\/strong> and Joanna Bocanegra Ocasio<\/strong>. This is the same legal team that sued Bad Bunny back in 2023 for allegedly featuring the voice of his ex-girlfriend on the tracks \u201cPa\u2019 Ti\u201d and \u201cDos Mil 16\u201d without her consent.<\/p>\n
