\n\tA federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit against Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs<\/strong> that included sensational claims involving NFL star Odell Beckham Jr.<\/strong> and comedian Druski<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\n\tAshley Parham<\/strong> sued Diddy last year, including not just accusations of sexual assault but also kidnapping, threats with a knife and gunshots. In March, she added Beckham and Druski \u2013 claims the two men vehemently denied as fabrications.<\/p>\n

\n\tBut in a ruling on Tuesday, Judge Rita Lin<\/strong> dismissed the case on the grounds that Parham had never actually litigated it. The accuser wanted more time to find new lawyers after her old team withdrew in September, but the judge suggested that no lawyer would want to touch her case.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt has been over two months since plaintiffs\u2019 counsel\u2019s withdrawal, and plaintiffs describe consulting an array of potential counsel, who have each declined to take the matter,\u201d the judge wrote. \u201cThe barrier to obtaining counsel therefore does not appear to be plaintiffs\u2019 capacity to seek counsel, but the willingness of counsel to be retained in the matter. There is no indication that this barrier is likely to resolve.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn a statement to Billboard<\/em> on Wednesday, Druski said the evidence in the case \u201coverwhelmingly showed that I was innocent\u201d and that he had never even met Parham. He thanked his supporters for standing by him as the accuser \u201cattempted to destroy my reputation for greed.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cFrom the beginning, I knew these disgusting lies would be exposed as nothing more than a malicious money grab,\u201d the star said. \u201cI pray for the real victims of assault. We can\u2019t allow these clout-chasing antics to deter true survivors from coming forward and speaking out against their abusers in the future.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn his own statement to Billboard<\/em>, Beckham\u2019s attorney Andrew V. Jablon<\/strong> said the football star was pleased that \u201cthese scurrilous allegations can finally be put to rest\u201d and that the ruling \u201cconfirms the reality that this case never should have been filed.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThere certainly was no reasonable basis for maintaining the action against him once plaintiff\u2019s attorneys had been provided with uncontroverted evidence that Mr. Beckham \u2013 who has never met Plaintiff and never been to the area in question \u2013 was hundreds of miles away at the time of the alleged assault,\u201d Jablon said.<\/p>\n

\n\tRepresentatives for Diddy did not return a request for comment on Wednesday A representative for Parham, who is no longer represented by lawyers, could not immediately be located.<\/p>\n

\n\tParham filed her case in 2024, one of dozens of civil lawsuits brought against Combs over the past two years alleging sexual abuse and other forms of wrongdoing. The embattled mogul was convicted in July on criminal prostitution charges and sentenced to four years in prison, but was cleared of more serious charges that could have sent him to prison for life.<\/p>\n

\n\tMany of the civil lawsuits against Diddy included scandalous claims, but the Parham case stood out. She claimed she had been drugged, kidnapped, and violently raped in a 2018 incident in which both Beckham and Druski participated \u2013 then had gunshots fired at her as she fled after confronting Combs with a knife.<\/p>\n

\n\tDruski, who was not yet famous in 2018, strongly denied the claims \u2014 calling the case a \u201cfabricated lie\u201d and that his inclusion was \u201ctruly outlandish.\u201d Beckham similarly denied the allegations, saying that his \u201cname will be cleared.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tBoth men later sought legal punishment against Parham and her lawyers for naming them in the case. Druski\u2019s lawyers cited phone records showing that their client was at home in Georgia on the day of the alleged assault, thousands of miles from the alleged attack in Northern California. Beckham\u2019s filings say he was at home in Los Angeles, where he was \u201cwidely seen and photographed\u201d the next day at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn her ruling, Judge Lin rejected the case merely for inaction. Parham has \u201cstill not served\u201d the lawsuit on the defendants and had repeatedly blown procedural deadlines, the judge said. After months of waiting, the judge said it was time to close the case.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe Court has warned Plaintiffs several times that the case would be dismissed \u2026 if they continued to miss the required deadlines,\u201d the judge said, though she said it could be refiled if Parham finds new lawyers willing to take on her case.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe judge denied, however, the motions by Druski and Beckham seeking to sanction Parham. She ruled that such punishment is typically denied, and that a lawsuit merely needs \u201csome plausible basis, even a weak one.\u201d<\/p>\n
