\n\tA Los Angeles County grand jury has reportedly heard evidence from prosecutors tied to the death of teenager Celeste Rivas, who was found dead in the trunk of a Tesla registered to singer D4vd in September.<\/p>\n

\n\tAccording to the Los Angeles Times<\/a><\/em>, an LAPD detective has classified Rivas\u2019 death as a murder investigation, and the Los Angeles County district attorney\u2019s office has presented evidence related to the case to an\u00a0investigative grand jury.<\/p>\n

\n\tL.A. Times<\/em> sources relayed that a \u201cgrand jury was in session\u201d for several days throughout mid-November. Court docs listed a \u201cGJ number,\u201d meaning a grand jury exists. Several witnesses have reportedly been called before the investigative grand jury, which can recommend charges but cannot itself bring an indictment. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe L.A. Times<\/em> also cited documents showing that LAPD detectives received a ruling from a judge not to have Rivas\u2019 autopsy results made public.<\/p>\n

\n\tWhen reached for comment, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles District Attorney\u2019s Office explained that \u201cin accordance with longstanding office policy and California law, we are not at liberty to discuss or disclose any information about grand jury proceedings.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tBillboard<\/em> also reached out to D4vd\u2019s lawyer for comment. <\/p>\n

\n\tIn early September, Dv4d\u2019s abandoned Tesla was brought to a tow yard in Los Angeles. The LAPD was subsequently alerted to a \u201cfoul odor\u201d coming from the trunk of the car, where on Sept. 8, officers discovered a decomposing body that was later identified as Rivas\u2019. <\/p>\n

\n\tRivas was reported missing to authorities after last being seen in April 2024 in Riverside County, California. When her body was discovered in Dv4d\u2019s Tesla, the singer was in the midst of his Withered World Tour.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe rest of Dv4d\u2019s trek was canceled, as were plans for his Withered<\/em> deluxe album. The singer hasn\u2019t made any public statements since Rivas\u2019 body was found.<\/p>\n
