(Photo by Victor Li)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\t\t\t\tWhen Clio announced that it had acquired global legal research platform vLex for $1 billion in June, it was the latest in a series of big moves from the cloud-based practice management software company. <\/p>\n<p>Thanks to this deal, Clio now boasts near start-to-finish capabilities, allowing its users to rely on the platform for almost all matters relating to legal practice and law firm management. Clio can be used for intake, research, drafting, case management, communications, accounting and motion practice, and billing, among other things.<\/p>\n<p>The deal also caps a period of several years in which Clio has grown tremendously and was valued at $3 billion as of last year. It has acquired U.K.-based artificial intelligence platform ShareDo, as well as document automation software Lawyaw. Clio has even sponsored the NHL\u2019s Vancouver Canucks.
