\n\tA<\/span> 29-year-old man has been charged with the robbery of Macklemore\u2019s Seattle home in June, as well as a slew of other burglaries targeting the houses of legendary Seattle athletes like baseball Hall of Famer Ichiro Suzuki and retired football star Richard Sherman.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe suspect, identified in court records as Patrick Maisonet, is charged with 10 felonies for supposedly robbing the homes of celebrity figures, including Macklemore (Ben Haggerty), Suzuki, Sherman, Seattle Mariners pitcher Luis Castillo and Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Blake Snell.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Macklemore robbery made national news in June, when Maisonet and an accomplice allegedly stole thousands of dollars\u2019 worth of luxury items and jewelry from the rapper\u2019s home. The loot included a personalized ring from Seattle Sounders FC, the Major League Soccer team of which Macklemore is a minority owner.<\/p>\n

\n\tAccording to Seattle police, Macklemore\u2019s 22-year-old family nanny was attacked with bear spray after the robbers broke in through an unlocked door. Macklemore was not home at the time, but his three children were asleep in the house.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cPolice investigators and attorneys from the Special Operations and Violent Crimes units of the King County Prosecuting Attorney\u2019s Office have been working together for months,\u201d said Seattle\u2019s top prosecutor, Leesa Manion<\/strong>, in a statement announcing the charges on Friday (Sept. 5).<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cPeople deserve to feel safe in their homes and businesses, and our office will continue to hold people appropriately accountable for criminal behavior,\u201d added Manion.<\/p>\n

\n\tAttorneys for Maisonet did not return requests for comment, nor did reps for Macklemore.<\/p>\n

\n\tMaisonet has a lengthy rap sheet of Seattle-area burglary charges dating back to 2014. He has a pending armed robbery case from 2024, and he was charged just last week with burglarizing a jewelry store.<\/p>\n

\n\tA SWAT team arrested Maisonet on Aug. 21. He has pleaded not guilty and is being held in jail on a bail package totaling more than $2 million for the various pending charges. \u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
