The Division\u2019s new Whistleblower Program provides an eligible whistleblower an opportunity to receive 15% to 30% of any recovered criminal fine of at least $1 million resulting from his or her information. In a Sherman Act case\u2014the primary statute the division enforces\u2014the maximum criminal corporate fine is $100 million, though the maximum fine can increase to twice the amount gained by the defendant or lost by the victim. 15 U.S.C. \u00a7 1. Therefore, a whistleblower award could provide substantial monetary incentive to reporting criminal violations.
