{"id":558,"date":"2024-05-01T20:19:48","date_gmt":"2024-05-01T20:19:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/usatrustedlawyers.com\/blog\/in-flurry-of-lawsuits-one-stands-out-to-challenge-rollback-of-student-rights\/"},"modified":"2024-05-01T20:19:48","modified_gmt":"2024-05-01T20:19:48","slug":"in-flurry-of-lawsuits-one-stands-out-to-challenge-rollback-of-student-rights","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/usatrustedlawyers.com\/blog\/in-flurry-of-lawsuits-one-stands-out-to-challenge-rollback-of-student-rights\/","title":{"rendered":"In Flurry of Lawsuits, One Stands Out to Challenge Rollback of Student Rights"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div>\n<p>A flurry of lawsuits were filed this week by state attorneys general in response to the Biden administration\u2019s recent changes to Title\u00a0IX of the Education Amendments Act, but experts say one suit challenging the rollback in protections for those accused of sexual assault may bring additional litigation.<\/p>\n<p>Over the past week, four separate lawsuits have been filed\u00a0by state attorneys general from Alabama, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and West Virginia, after\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">the Department of Education released the\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">final version of Title XI regulations<\/span>\u00a0April 19.
