And while the total number of completed mergers during the first quarter of the year was only one more than the same interval in 2024, one author of a new report said she still expects total mergers to be ahead of where they ended last year\u2014though \u201cnot by leaps and bounds.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>  <!----> <!----> <!----><\/p>\n<div data-v-e97bc92c=\"\">\n<p>The report from Fairfax Associates tallied 22 completed mergers during Q1\u2014a 5% increase, but only one more than was reported during Q1 of 2024.
