In 2022, the Supreme Court <a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.com\/dailyreportonline\/2024\/02\/05\/bayers-monsanto-loses-federal-preemption-appeal-over-roundup-again\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><u>denied review of two prior petitions<\/u><\/a> in Roundup cases, both in California. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.com\/2022\/06\/21\/us-supreme-court-declines-to-review-roundup-petition-ensuring-more-trials\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><u>first<\/u><\/a>, in federal court, ended in a verdict of $80 million, which the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in 2021 affirmed but reduced to $25.3 million.
