The plaintiff, Robert Gilliam, alleges the defendants were negligent and failed to follow proper authorization protocol.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>  <!----> <!----> <!----><\/p>\n<div data-v-e97bc92c=\"\">\n<p><b>Takeaway:<\/b> Threats to crypto transactions have increased in recent years as the digital currency becomes more commonplace. The TRM Labs 2025 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.trmlabs.com\/resources\/reports\/2025-crypto-crime-report\" target=\"_blank\" link-data=\"{\" cms.site.owner=\"\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Crypto Crime Report<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.com\/therecorder\/2025\/02\/10\/crypto-crime-down-hacks-up-lawyers-warned-of-2025-security-shake-up\/\" target=\"_blank\" link-data=\"{\" cms.site.owner=\"\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">released in February<\/a> highlighted a dual trend for attorneys: a decline in illicit crypto transactions in the last year, but a rise in hacks and use by bad actors. TRM, which as a company detects and monitors fraud and financial claims for financial crimes in digital assets, also saw fraudsters use artificial intelligence in multiple ways in 2024.
