At 9:30 a.m., the court released its <\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.supremecourt.gov\/orders\/courtorders\/032425zor_q8l1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" link-data=\"{\" cms.site.owner=\"\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"><i>list <\/i><\/a><i>of orders from the previous week&#8217;s conference. The justices did not take up any new cases this week, but they did throw out a number of notable petitions. Among the discarded appeals was one from casino mogul Steve Wynn <\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.com\/nationallawjournal\/2025\/02\/06\/january-petitions-press-high-court-on-guns-birth-certificate-sex-classifications-\/\" target=\"_blank\" link-data=\"{\" cms.site.owner=\"\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"><i>challenging <\/i><\/a><i>the Supreme Court&#8217;s landmark First Amendment precedent<\/i>, New York Times v. Sullivan<i>, which has stood as a bulwark for press freedom since 1964. The court also turned away an <\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.com\/nationallawjournal\/2025\/03\/11\/fourth-amendment-cyberbullying-antitrust-appeals-reached-supreme-court-in-february\/\" target=\"_blank\" link-data=\"{\" cms.site.owner=\"\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"><i>appeal <\/i><\/a><i>from the mother of a teen suicide victim to remove Section 230 immunity for an anonymous messaging app her lawyers said became a \u201cbreeding ground for cyber-bullies.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p> <!----> <!----> <!----> <!----><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome to\u00a0Supreme Court Brief.
