But that\u2019s not to say that market conditions aren\u2019t evolving to challenge the status quo of large rate increases\u2013and in the words of one consultant advising corporate law departments, you don\u2019t know you\u2019re in a bubble until it pops.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>  <!----> <!----> <!----><\/p>\n<div data-v-e97bc92c=\"\">\n<p>Law firms have gone on the record saying that clients and the market are able to bear increases in legal spending, explaining why why firms are continuing to raise rates above inflation or\u2014as some in-house counsel claimed\u2014above increases in corporate profitability. But some consultants and clients are beginning to raise some concerns about the current pricing model.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"SH1\"><b>Seeking out Alternatives<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>\u201cRates just seem to be going up and up and up.
