He will continue to be represented by five other attorneys on record, including <strong>Marc Agnifilo<\/strong> and <strong>Teny Geragos<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cThis motion for withdrawal of counsel, if granted, will not result in a delay of the present schedule for the commencement of jury selection and trial, or the present schedules for briefing of pre-trial legal issues,\u201d the filing continues. \u201cAs a result, there will be no lapse in representation, as Sean Combs will continue to be represented by five other attorneys of record.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tEarlier this week, Combs\u2019 attorneys filed a motion in New York federal court calling for a sex trafficking charge to be dropped from his indictment. The disgraced hip-hop mogul\u2019s legal team alleged the charge has racist origins, arguing that \u201cno white person has ever been the target of a remotely similar prosecution\u201d under The Mann Act, under which the charge was brought.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tCombs was arrested in September and is currently detained at Brooklyn\u2019s Metropolitan Detention Center awaiting trial, which is slated to start in May. Prosecutors allege Combs was running a criminal enterprise that had been set up to satisfy his need for \u201csexual gratification.\u201d The rapper has also been accused of carrying out acts of violence and using intimidation tactics to keep his alleged victims from speaking out.
