Murphy of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania affirmed the settlement awarding $950,000 to the family members of Tamika Jones, who died a day after paramedics allegedly convinced her not to go to the hospital. The court also approved awards for $300,000 in fees and $30,000 in costs. The court determined the settlement amount was adequate, including the proposed allocation of 70% of the proceeds going to the wrongful death claim and 30% going to the survival claim.
