The Legal Tech Rundown is a weekly update of legal tech happenings that might have gone under the radar.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Haloo:\u00a0<\/strong>On June 18, Canada-based\u00a0AI-powered platform for trademark search and protection Haloo announced\u00a0that it raised a $3.5 million funding round. This round was led by Innospark Ventures, a Boston-based AI-focused\u00a0venture capital firm,\u00a0along with participation from from BDC and LOI Ventures. Existing investors, including The W Fund, also\u00a0contributed to\u00a0the round. The funding round will be used to\u00a0scale the company\u2019s sales and marketing,\u00a0develop innovative features, and gain a larger market share, as per the release. \u201cWe are incredibly excited about what this funding unlocks for Haloo,\u201d said Julie MacDonell, Haloo CEO in the release.\u201d Haloo serves law firms, legal departments and government intellectual property offices.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The fast-paced legal tech world is constantly evolving.
