\n\tJack White\u2019s wife of four years, the singer Olivia Jean, has filed for divorce from the rock star.<\/p>\n

\n\tJean, a fellow rocker under White\u2019s label Third Man Records, married the White Stripes frontman onstage during a 2022 concert in their shared hometown of Detroit. She submitted divorce papers on June 3 in Nashville.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe court filing cites \u201cirreconcilable differences and inappropriate marital conduct\u201d as the reason Jean (full name Olivia Jean Markel) wants a divorce from White (born John Anthony White). Further details are not provided, and reps for Jean and White did not immediately return requests for comment on Tuesday (June 23).<\/p>\n

\n\tJean claims in the divorce papers that White should pay her alimony and continue providing her with health insurance coverage, since \u201cshe is dependent on husband\u2019s income for her support.\u201d She says all the property they jointly bought as a couple, including real estate and furniture, should be split up between them.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWife hopes that the parties will be able to enter into a written marital dissolution agreement, which makes adequate and sufficient provision for an equitable division of the parties\u2019 assets and liabilities,\u201d reads the filing. The couple share no children.<\/p>\n

\n\tWhite was married twice before: first to White Stripes member Meg White from 1996 to 2000, then to model and singer Karen Elson from 2005 to 2013.<\/p>\n

\n\tWhite both proposed to and married Jean on opening night of his Supply Chain Issues Tour in April 2022, for which Jean was an opening act. He popped the question during the White Stripes song \u201cHotel Yorba,\u201d which features the lyrics \u201cLet\u2019s get married\/ In a big cathedral by a priest\/ \u2019cause if I\u2019m the man that you love the most\/ You could say \u2018I do\u2019 at least.\u201d The duo exchanged rings minutes later onstage, with Third Man co-founder Ben Swank officiating.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI asked her, \u2018Do you want to get married now, or do you want to wait?\u2019\u201d White explained of the impromptu marriage ceremony during a 2022 appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert<\/em>. \u201c<\/em>And she said. \u2018No, right now, this is a great day!\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
