{"id":10495,"date":"2026-04-28T14:38:10","date_gmt":"2026-04-28T14:38:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/usatrustedlawyers.com\/blog\/epa-further-revises-reporting-period-for-pfas-reporting-requirements-under-tsca-section-8a7-farella-braun-martel-llp\/"},"modified":"2026-04-28T14:38:10","modified_gmt":"2026-04-28T14:38:10","slug":"epa-further-revises-reporting-period-for-pfas-reporting-requirements-under-tsca-section-8a7-farella-braun-martel-llp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/usatrustedlawyers.com\/blog\/epa-further-revises-reporting-period-for-pfas-reporting-requirements-under-tsca-section-8a7-farella-braun-martel-llp\/","title":{"rendered":"EPA Further Revises Reporting Period for PFAS Reporting Requirements Under TSCA Section 8(a)(7) | Farella Braun + Martel LLP"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div id=\"html-view-content\">\n<p>On April 9, 2026, EPA announced a final rule revising the start of the reporting period for the one-time PFAS reporting requirement under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) section 8(a)(7).\u00a0Under the final rule, the reporting period will begin on the earlier of either (a) 60 days following the effective date of the forthcoming final rule on the substantive requirements of this reporting requirement, or (b) January 31, 2027.\u00a0This extension is intended to give EPA additional time to consider and respond to comments on the interim final rule (published May 2025) and the proposed rule (published November 2025) and, if appropriate, to then publish a final rule on the substantive requirements of this reporting.<\/p>\n<p>By way of background, in October 2023, EPA published a final rule requiring manufacturers (including importers) to submit certain information on PFAS manufactured or imported in any year between 2011 and 2022 (see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fbm.com\/per-and-polyfluoroalkyl-substances-pfas\/regulatory-and-litigation-developments\/#October%2011,%202023\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><u>10\/11\/2023<\/u><\/a> post).
