\n\tT<\/span>he lead prosecutor on D4vd\u2019s murder case says there\u2019s \u201ca significant amount of child pornography\u201d included in more than 40 terabytes of evidence collected from the singer\u2019s phone, computer and iCloud account.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe revelation came during an initial hearing in Los Angeles court on Thursday (April 23), exactly a year after D4vd (David Anthony Burke) is accused of killing 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. The \u201cRomantic Homicide\u201d singer was present with his defense lawyers in an orange jumpsuit.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe hearing focused the evidence that police and prosecutors collected during a monthslong investigation before charging D4vd with first-degree murder on Monday (April 20). Assistant District Attorney Beth Silverman<\/strong> revealed that via multiple search warrants and three different investigative grand juries, her office has obtained \u201cvoluminous amount of digital data\u201d from D4vd\u2019s computer and iCloud account.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cHe also had an iPhone and that iPhone, as it\u2019s been reviewed, contains a significant amount of child pornography,\u201d Silverman told Judge Charlaine F. Olmedo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\n\tSilverman said the evidence also includes the results of a wiretap last year, police bodycam footage, DNA trace evidence and \u201cnumerous sets of photographs.\u201d Defense attorneys will begin reviewing the case file this week to prepare for a preliminary hearing, at which prosecutors will present their evidence for a judge to evaluate whether there\u2019s a sufficient basis for criminal charges.<\/p>\n

\n\tAs of now, that preliminary hearing is set to begin on May 1 and last between four and five days. The lawyers will return to court for a status update next week to decide whether they need more time to prepare.<\/p>\n

\n\tD4vd himself was stoic and said very little during the hearing, at one point replying \u201cyes ma\u2019am\u201d to the judge when asked whether he consented to the preliminary hearing structure. He conferred at times with defense lawyer Blair Berk<\/strong>, who placed a hand on his back when Silverman brought up \u201cchild pornography.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe singer is charged with first-degree murder, continuous sexual abuse of a child under age 14 and mutilating a body. Prosecutors allege he illegally had a sexual relationship with Rivas beginning when she was 13, and then killed and dismembered her because she threatened to come forward and derail his burgeoning music career.<\/p>\n

\n\tRivas\u2019 remains were found in the front trunk of an impounded Tesla registered to D4vd in September. After police responded to reports of a \u201cfoul odor\u201d coming from the car in a Hollywood tow lot, they discovered two black bags containing severed, decomposed body parts that were later identified as Rivas \u2014 including a head, torso and limbs.<\/p>\n

\n\tD4vd has pled not guilty to all charges. His attorneys say they will \u201cvigorously defend\u201d him in court. \u201cLet us be clear,\u201d said defense lawyers in a statement following his arrest, \u201cthe actual evidence in this case will show that David Burke did not murder Celeste Rivas Hernandez and he was not the cause of her death.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tD4vd\u2019s legal team declined to comment after Thursday\u2019s hearing.<\/p>\n
