Supreme Court Lifts Court Order Blocking Trans Military Ban

The U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday reinstated President Donald Trump’s renewed ban on transgender service members in the military after the Trump administration complained that a district judge “improperly second-guessed” the Pentagon in blocking the policy.

In an unsigned order, the court paused a lower court’s order blocking Trump’s ban on trans service members until a U.S. appeals court can weigh in on the legality of the president’s directive. The decision clears the way for the Pentagon to begin expelling potentially thousands of trans service members from active military posts.
