The Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court and its advisory committee recently released the 2025 edition of the Massachusetts Guide to Evidence, with 34 opinions from the 2024 calendar year and new guidelines for the bench, bar and public.
The 2025 edition of the guide incorporates opinions from the state high court and appellate court, along with several additional decisions that did not appear in prior editions. The guide, issued April 29, has existing Massachusetts evidence law and is organized similarly to the Federal Rules of Evidence. It also includes extensive explanatory notes and citations to pertinent authorities.
