Incensed that he couldn’t back out of his agreement to buy Twitter, Elon Musk allegedly sought to fire every in-house lawyer who worked on the lawsuit to force him to close the deal and tried to intimidate the board of directors into lowering the purchase price, according to a newly unredacted complaint filed by lawyers representing its former legal chief, general counsel, CEO and CFO in a severance dispute.
The new filing follows a May 31 order by U.S. District Senior Judge Maxine Chesney of the Northern District of California to unseal portions of the complaint that Musk and Twitter, now known as X Corp., had tried to keep private. Chesney found the majority of the redacted information was not confidential.
