Hawaiian Airlines CLO Out of Job but Set for Soft Landing

Hawaiian Airlines legal chief Aaron Alter and two other senior executives have resigned in the wake of the carrier’s $1.9 billion acquisition by Seattle-based Alaska Airlines, which was completed on Wednesday.

Alter, 66, a native of Hawaii Kai, in southeastern O’ahu, had been executive vice president and chief legal officer of Honolulu-based Hawaiian since 2015. He came to the firm from the Palo Alto, California, office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where he spent a quarter-century, serving as outside counsel for Hawaiian Airlines the final six years.
