The Florida Supreme Court permanently disbarred foreclosure defense attorney Bruce Jacobs on Tuesday and, in doing so, enhanced the punishment that the referee, Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Betsy Alvarez-Zane, called for in her report.
And in the report, Alvarez-Zane found that Jacobs committed serious misconduct that included filing frivolous pleadings, claims or contentions; lacking candor toward the tribunal; knowingly disobeying the orders or rules of the tribunal; impugning the integrity of judicial officers without an objective basis in fact; and conduct prejudicing the administration of justice.
