Female Sports Litigators Discuss Strategy to Land ‘Dream Job’ in Competitive Field

Getting a dream job in the legal profession doesn’t happen overnight, especially in sports law which often requires playing the long game to compete in the field.

A panel of female attorneys representing top sports teams and organizations reflected on their path in a niche area of litigation last week during a panel discussion with members of the Massachusetts chapter of the Federal Bar Association. Mandy Petrillo, assistant general counsel of Fenway Sports Group Boston; Michelle Robison, an attorney with the National Collegiate Athletic Association; and Ronika Carter, who represents the Minnesota Vikings, spoke during the virtual session and discussed why they chose the profession, their journey from law school to their current role, and advice to younger legal professionals wanting to join the team.
