The former London managing partner of U.S. law firm Cohen & Gresser is under investigation by the Solicitors Regulation Authority following allegations of inappropriate behaviour, according to the firm and other sources.
A Law.com investigation has found that Jeffrey Bronheim is being investigated by the U.K. regulator for his conduct that relates to his time as managing partner of the London office of Cohen & Gresser, a position which he held from 2018 to 2023.
Allegations have been uncovered through interviews with people with knowledge of the matter, as well as through documents, text messages and emails reviewed by Law.com.
Allegations against Bronheim include “sexual harassment” of a member of staff on several occasions between 2022 and 2023, according to the sources. The conduct is said to have included both verbally and physically inappropriate behaviours. Law.com has decided to withhold certain details relating to the allegations to protect the identity of the victim and other people connected to the firm.
A document seen by Law.com and a person with knowledge of the allegations pointed to claims against Bronheim of unwanted physical contact and of purchasing or discussing items of a personal nature.
