Cooley has hired John Bostic, a former assistant U.S. attorney for the District of Northern California, as a partner in the firm’s white-collar defense and investigations and global litigation departments, the firm announced Wednesday.
Bostic had been a federal prosecutor in Northern California for almost a decade, handling a wide variety of cases, including securities fraud, insider trading, bank fraud, hacking, public corruption and more. Most notably, he worked on the Theranos trial involving CEO Elizabeth Holmes and COO Ramesh Balwani. Bostic delivered the closing argument against Holmes.
