Ford Faces Another Suit Over Allegedly Defective 12-Volt Batteries

A Ford Motor Co. recall is causing more headaches for the company as the automobile manufacturer was hit with another class-action lawsuit last week alleging the company’s defective batteries have damaged and devalued her vehicles.

Takeaway: A January 2025 recall from Ford has led to the automaker facing class action suits alleging fraud, deceptive advertising and other claims in multiple jurisdictions, including Pennsylvania and Illinois. The recall was issued for over 273,000 of Ford’s Bronco Sport and Maverick vehicles with 12-volt batteries after incidents of drivers losing power while in transit.
