Looking ahead to presumably the next presidential administrations, users of Tornado Cash—through their counsel at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison—urged a Texas federal court to clarify that the designation of the cryptocurrency mixer on the U.S. Treasury Department’s blocked persons list was unlawful, despite claims by the government that the case is moot.
