In the days since Paul Weiss brokered a deal with President Donald Trump, some associates have grown frustrated with the actions by the New York firm and silence from others and are considering some forms of protest against Big Law’s current acquiescence against the administration.
One former Big Law lawyer who helped to organize an associate open letter to law firms, Rachel Cohen, said some associates in various law firms are considering a recruitment strike in which they would abstain from interviewing associate candidates at law schools. Law firm partners sometimes request associates to handle such interviews.
