Electrolyte Drink Mix Sues Supplement Brand Over Similar Trademarks

Electrolyte company Drink LMNT has filed a trademark infringement lawsuit against dietary supplement company ELMNT, accusing it of using similar marks which creates consumer confusion with LMNT’s established supplement brand.

Takeaway: Companies suing each other over similar trademarks has, and will likely continue to be, a prevalent form of litigation. Dozens of suits targeting the use of similar marks have been filed around the country this month, including a Florida suit brought by Allen Vellone Wolf Helfrich & Factor, accusing Filip Triner and Proteng Group of using confusingly similar “Proteng” mark as the plaintiff, Proteng Distribution.
