After the federal government was reluctant to distribute widely a judge’s temporary restraining order for Perkins Coie, the judge clarified the order on Wednesday, instructing the government to issue guidance to “all other agencies.”
The latest dispute and the judge’s clarification order highlight the hurdles and day-to-day battles Perkins Coie faces in reversing some damage from President Donald Trump’s executive order against the firm this month. Perkins Coie has argued that several clients have already moved some matters away from the firm, or have warned they might, because of Trump’s executive order against the firm.
