Eric Adams Defense Team Seeks Permanent Dismissal of Case, Alleging Prosecutorial Misconduct

Counsel for Eric Adams are now asking a judge to dismiss the public corruption case against the New York City Mayor with prejudice, alleging prosecutorial misconduct occurred during a “flurry” of leaks of internal communications —including the resignation letter of former Interim Manhattan U.S. Attorney Danielle Sassoon.

In a motion filed early Wednesday, Adams’ lawyers Alex Spiro, William Burck, John Bash and Avi Perry of Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan insisted their client’s case now be dismissed permanently. The Department of Justice has sought dismissal without prejudice.
